Usage of medium sulfur calcined coke: generally used in aluminum smelting, mainly used in prebaked anodes and cathodes for electrolytic aluminum.
Calcined petroleum coke can be divided into high-sulfur coke, whose sulfur content is more than 3%, and low-sulfur coke, whose sulfur content is less than 3%. Low-quality calcined petroleum coke is mainly used for smelting industrial silicon and producing anode plastics. High-sulfur coke is generally used as fuel in cement plants and power plants.
